Since it's located at a higher latitude, the variation in insolation is greater and that explains why this climate has a larger annual temperature range than the other tropical wet climates. However, the average annual temperature is similar to that of the other tropical wet climates.
Facts:
-The Tropical Wet/Dry climate is the driest of the tropical wet climates.
-It gets a little cooler during the dry season but becomes very hot before the wet season.
-As latitude increases the length of the dry season increases as well

The drier climates are found in lower latitudes, between 18 degrees to 28 degrees in both the north and south hemispheres. These latitude belts are centered on the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. Winds here are light, which allows for the evaporation of moisture in the intense heat. This area of dry desert climate covers 12 % of the Earth's land surface.

-Rainfall is greater near the equator. Winds here comes from the south west in the northern hemisphere.
-It has two seasons only. A wet and dry one, obviously.

During a hot, dry season, temperatures during the day can reach up to 40 degrees celcius, and they may fall to 10 degrees celcius at night.
